What is a Heatmap Report?
A Heatmap is a tool that graphically represents data, in a map/diagram, using different colors to show a page performance. It uses colors to indicate the intensity of visitor engagement on different sections of a page.
In CTRwow our Heat map collects data from:
Mouse Click: A mouse click heatmap is a type of heatmap that helps you to visualize in your website which parts are the ones where visitors were most engaged.
Mouse Movement: A mouse movement heatmap is a type of heatmap that helps you to visualize your website visitors' mouse movement data.
Mouse Scroll: A Scroll heatmap displays how far down a visitor scrolls on a page. This map can help you find the most (or least) viewed areas on a page, so you can determine if visitors are seeing essential information.
and provide the above organized by device type: Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile.
What is the Heatmap for?
The Heatmap and Scrollmap can help to figure out the visitors' behavior by gathering data of the customers' actions through your page(s). Once the data has been collected, it is reported into the Heatmap, so it can be simply and efficiently analyzed which part(s)/buttons of the page reaches the highest visitors' engagement. Hence, marketers can have a more accurate and informed picture that can lead to optimized decisions.
