How can Customer
Care help you?

The Behavior Flow section

On this page, the below topics will be covered:

What is a Behavior Flow Report?

The Behavior Flow Report provides the users' path through the funnel, from one page to the next. The goal of this report is to help discover what content keeps users engaged with your site, as well as help identify potential content issues.

Specifically, in CTRwow, the Behavior Flow Report collects data by using the Fingerprint technology and then graphically represents the CTR/Drop-off rates and CVR of funnels (see below example)

Where the Behavior Flow section is located?

From CTRwow DASHBOARD, go to the left side menu and click on ANALYTICS >Behavior Flow section

How the Behavior Flow Report works

The Behavior Flow Report gathers data, from the pages built in CTRwow, by using the Fingerprints technology.

** Please note that if a site is not shown in this section or when clicking on the “i” icon the tab that pops up doesn’t show any information, in this case, the site needs to be republished to run with the new tracking script.

By going to the Behavior Flow Report, users can see the list of sites and related metrics.

and at the top of the page, users can check data by different time range

Furthermore, on each site row, if the user clicks on the i icon

a tab pops up displaying the Sankey Chart.

The Sankey Chart

What is the Sankey Chart for?

The Sankey chart graphically represents all the paths taken by customers in the whole flow of the funnel.

Therefore, starting from the first page until the drop-off page, we identify all the paths and the number of customers going through each step of those paths.

Where to find the Sankey Chart

The Sankey Chart is displayed when users click on the i icon available on the right side of each site name (see the below example)

and a tab pops up

Filters

In the Sankey chart, there are a few filters are provided at the top of the tab:

  • The Settings icon: the Sankey Chart Settings pops up, and the user can narrow the data displaying
    - The Show at least 50 sessions where 50 is set as default, but it’s configurable
    - The Number of steps 5 where 5 is set as default, but it’s configurable

  • Country: delivering information about customers in a specific location

  • Device: to narrow down the audiences according to the device used by the customer when checking the pages (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile)

  • All Affilites: to narrow down the audiences according to the affiliate id

Tooltips

Hovering on the paths shows a tooltip with important metrics related to that path:

  • For landing pages: Visits, Views, Click-Thrus, CTR

    1

  • For offer pages: Visits, Views, Click-Thrus, CTR, Conversions, CVR

2

The Bar Chart

Clicking on a path

3

another tab pops up with the Bar charts showing the number of visits on each page.

In particular:

  • The data shown on the Bar chart is taken from the Sankey chart, considering the filter applied

  • Each bar represents 1 page in the flow and the number of Visits going through each page (see the below example)

    4
  • Hovering on each bar also shows a tooltip, like in the Sankey chart

    5
  • If the user clicks on the first part of a path, which later on is divided into multiple paths, we show all the bar charts for all the possible flows.

Working with external pages

  • For all pages built in CTRwow, the default tracking script should be able to support this. For cases the pages in the flow are in a different company, we should be able to track them on the diagrams.

  • For pages built outside of CTRwow, if users add CTRwow tracking script on the page, it should be tracked as well. Otherwise, the flow will display the external page as the end of the flow.
